Bates Office returns as a valued Agincare Heroes Awards Sponsor

September 27, 2025

We are delighted to welcome Bates Office Services as a return sponsor to our Agincare Heroes Awards. Following their Partner Sponsorship in 2024, Bates Office Services this year sponsored the Support Individual or Team of the Year.

Held at stunning Chewton Glen Hotel, the Agincare Heroes 2025 ceremony saw over 100 team members travel from Agincare services nationwide to celebrate and recognise the incredible work that our teams carry out every single day.

Bates Office – a valued partner

Bates Office is a longstanding and valued partner for Agincare. Although it’s one of the UK’s largest office service providers of business productivity supplies and services, Bates Office remains a family-run business with a longstanding heritage and values true to its roots. That resonates with Agincare and our journey too. We’re delighted that Bates Office Services is part of Agincare Heroes again this and thank them for their ongoing support.

A Day to Remember

The event started in fantastic fashion with a welcome reception followed by an uplifting awards ceremony hosted by Adam Luckhurst with Agincare Founder and Chairman Derek Luckhurst and Group Chief Executive Raina Summerson. The programme was packed: Employee of the Year, Chef of the Year, Nurse of the Year, Outstanding Leader, Care/Support Worker of the Year, Support/Customer Service of the Year, Care Team of the Year, Registered Manager of the Year, the Will Mitchell Award for Outstanding Contribution, and culminating in the award of five prestigious Agincare Hero Medals.

Support Service of the Year Award

It makes perfect sense for Bates Office Services to sponsor our Support Service of the Year Award. These are the individuals and teams who provide essential behind-the-scenes work that enable our direct care workforce to deliver high-quality care and support to those who draw on our services.

The Support Service of the Year Awards saw Head of IT Matt Garland (pictured right) recognised for leading transformative work to the way we work across the organisation. Matt was unable to attend the awards, so Filipe Requixa proudly stepped in to accept the award on his behalf. HR Business Partner Sam Duckworth and the Finance Team from Agincare HQ were highly commended.

Special Moments and Highlights

The event wrapped up with moving closing remarks from Agincare Founder and Chairman Derek Lukchurst, and Group Chief Executive Raina Summerson before guests made their way to the Chewton Glen lawns for a wonderful group picture.

Thank you Bates Office Services

Agincare Heroes Awards is now in its fourth year, and each year it reaffirms something fundamental: it’s all about people. Recognising not just the big wins, but the daily small things – the compassion, the leadership, the kindness, the steady reliability that often goes unseen. These moments ripple out to impact residents, colleagues and communities.

We can’t wait to celebrate again next year!
