Gainsborough Care Home in Swanage Achieves ‘Good’ CQC Rating

The team at our Gainsborough Care Home in Swanage is celebrating after being awarded a ‘Good’ rating in all key areas by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

The achievement follows an inspection on 21 May, with the official report published on 31 July.

Led by Registered Manager Dawn Hand, Gainsborough Care Home provides a safe, welcoming, and homely environment at the centre of the vibrant Swanage community.

Inspectors praised the home’s consistently high standards of care, highlighting that “people were cared for safely” and that care plans “contained useful items of information that enabled staff to understand people’s needs, and people experienced continuity in their care.”

The report also commended the team’s responsiveness, noting that “call bells [were] promptly answered, and staff providing support in a timely way.”
