Award sponsor Blueleaf Care presents the Agincare Heroes Care Team of the Year 2025

September 27, 2025

We were privileged to welcome and thank our key partner Blueleaf Care for being the Care Team of the Year Award Sponsor at our Agincare Heroes 2025 ceremony, held at the picturesque Chewton Glen Hotel in the New Forest.

The inspiring Agincare Heroes Awards 2025 saw over 100 team members gather from Agincare services nationwide to celebrate and recognise the incredible work that our teams carry out every single day. We were delighted to welcome Julian Smith from Blueleaf Care to join us as a special guest at Chewton Glen and present the Care Team of the Year Award.

Blueleaf Care – a sustainable partner

Blueleaf Care are a longstanding partner for Agincare. We have worked together to reduce Agincare’s environmental impact, while maintaining high hygiene standards across our locations by introducing sustainable cleaning solutions. We reviewed household and kitchen cleaning products, leading to reduced chemical use, a switch to recyclable plastic and reduced product deliveries. It’s just the start, and we are working on further initiatives for the future. Find out more

An Unforgettable Day

The Agincare Heroes Awards 2025 started in fantastic fashion with a welcome reception followed by an uplifting awards ceremony hosted by Adam Luckhurst with Agincare Founder and Chairman Derek Luckhurst and Group Chief Executive Raina Summerson. The programme was packed: Employee of the Year, Chef of the Year, Nurse of the Year, Outstanding Leader, Care/Support Worker of the Year, Support/Customer Service of the Year, Care Team of the Year, Registered Manager of the Year, the Will Mitchell Award for Outstanding Contribution, and culminating in the award of five prestigious Agincare Hero Medals.

Care Team of the Year Award

Blueleaf chose to sponsor the Care Team of the Year Award in recognition of the Agincare-wide reach of their services. Host Adam Luckhurst thanked Blueleaf for sponsoring the Care Team of the Year Award before inviting Julian Smith from Blueleaf to the stage to say a few words and present the award to the triumphant team. The care team award is one of our most prestigious and fiercely fought categories, and four teams were shortlisted for the prize – Poole Home Care Team, Rochester Care Home, Elizabeth Court Supported Living team from Dorchester and Furlong Close Supported Living Team from Rowde, near Devizes.

Agincare Founder and Chairman Derek Lukchurst, and Group Chief Executive Raina Summerson announced that Rochester Care Home were the winners (pictured below with Derek, Raina and Julian (centre).

Thank you Blue Leaf for celebrating with us

Agincare Heroes Awards is now in its fourth year, and each year it reaffirms something fundamental: it’s all about people. Recognising not just the big wins, but the daily small things – the compassion, the leadership, the kindness, the steady reliability that often goes unseen. These moments ripple out to impact residents, colleagues and communities.

We can’t wait to celebrate again next year!
